I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled an

Ordinance for the Incorporation

the Senior Missionary in Hongshing of the London

Missionary Society

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the

Gorernor's Instructions.

The object of the Ordinance is to give facilities to the London Missionary Society, to deal with its property.
